Our experienced staff has extensive experience with the forging of aluminum components. We have seen a movement over the last few years in the conversion of cast aluminum components into forged aluminum components. The requirement in the automotive industry to strive for better fuel economy has resulted in the replacement of steel components with FORGED aluminum components to reduce weight and the absence of porosity provides greater strength over cast aluminum and in fact produces parts matching the strength of steel at a much reduced weight.
